MD - MS Admission in India

MD MS Admission is a procedure that allows qualified medical graduates to enroll in postgraduate programs in India. A three-year degree program called MD MS enables doctors to specialize in a particular area of medicine.

All Indian medical graduates are required to take the MD/MS Admission Test, which is administered by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Candidates can apply for MD MS admission to any government or private medical college in India after passing the MD MS test.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission In MD MS Admission In India 2024-2025

Eligibility requirements as per The Graduate Medical Education Regulations, which are periodically issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI), must be followed in order to qualify for admission to MD/MS programs.

• The applicant must hold an MBBS degree listed in schedules I and II of the MCI Act, 1956, and must have successfully completed the one-year mandatory rotating internship/pre-registration period after passing the final professional MBBS Examination.
• Candidates for MD/MS programs must be 45 years old as of December 31 of the admission year. Additionally, prior to March 31 of the admissions year, qualified candidates must have finished a full year of internship.
• The results of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) - PG, which is administered by NBE every year, are used to determine admission to MD/MS programs.
• The Medical Council of India (MCI) standards determine the eligibility requirements for MD and MS admission in India, which can change.
• To be eligible for admission to an MD or MS program in India, applicants must have completed their MBBS at a university that has received MCI recognition.

NEET PG 2024

NEET PG is a single, national-level medical entrance test for PG diploma programs and MD MS Admission India. Except for the following institutions, passing the NEET-PG entrance test is required to enroll in an Indian private or public medical college.

• JIPMER, Puducherry

On March 5, 2023, NEET PG is planned to take place. The National Board of Examinations is responsible for hosting this PG entrance exam. Eligibility Criteria For AIQ 50% Seats For MD/MS Admission India 2024-25

• The criteria listed below apply to applicants for the 50% AIQ seats.
• Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to apply for AIQ 50% seats, per the NEET PG eligibility requirements.
• The Government of India must nominate individuals from Jammu and Kashmir in order for them to be considered for MBBS seats at the J&K medical institution.
• Candidates chosen by the government must provide an affidavit that is properly signed and states that they were chosen for the AIQ 50% seats. To meet the requirements, students must submit this affidavit together with an application form before the deadline.
• Candidates who have been nominated by the government of India must present an affidavit that is properly signed and states that they have been chosen for one of the 50% AIQ seats.
• For 50% of seats in govt. medical colleges and all seats in PVT medical colleges, state PG medical counseling is offered.
• For MD/MS admission in India, you must additionally meet the eligibility requirements in order to apply for a state quota seat.
• Only candidates who are domicile students of the state may apply for government MD/MS medical seats during state counseling.
• Non-domicile students may apply for state quota counseling in some states, including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and a few others.
• The results of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) - PG, which is administered by NBE every year, are used to determine admission to MD/MS programs.

• MBBS degree and certificate.

Eligibility Criteria For Indian Students or Overseas Citizens Of India For Admission In MD/MS 2024-25

• Must hold a current MBBS degree from an institution accredited by NMC or MCI.
• Should do a one-year internship abroad or in India.
• Must pass the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) in accordance with the 2002 screening test regulation.
• The candidate has to be registered with the NMC, also called the state medical council or the medical council of India.
