Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore was established in 1979; AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and the government of India have approved the Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering; the institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. It has various engineering departments that have 18 Undergraduate courses and 13 Postgraduate courses. In addition, it has 20 Research Centres in different departments of engineering catering to research students pursuing a Ph.D. under VTU. All the courses offered by DSCE are accredited by NBA. The Institute is spread over 23 acres of land with a large infrastructure backed by laboratories having high-tech equipment and machines.

Eligibility criteria for direct admission in DSCE 2024

The minimum eligibility criteria for undergraduates to get admission in B.E. Programs at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering are as follows:

• The college admission is done through the entrance exam/ CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Karnataka Government/COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka). The students with merit rankings are considered for admission.
• Candidates must have qualified PUC/12th/10+2 or equivalent examination in the first trial with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects along with English as one of the language subjects.
• Candidates must have qualified PUC/12th/10+2 or equivalent examination with 45 % marks total in Physics, Mathematics along with any one of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Science, Computer, or Electronics.
• Candidates belonging to Karnataka under SC, ST & other backward categories (Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B) must have scored the minimum marks of 40% aggregate in the optional subjects to be eligible to get admission.
