About Symbiosis Institute of Technology

Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Pune was established in the year 2008; it is a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU), and it offers UG and PG courses in various specializations. SIU is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited SIT with an “A” grade. The Symbiosis Institute of Technology offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses under various specializations in Engineering.

Currently, SIT offers B. Tech programmes in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Robotics & Automation. Along with that, it offers M.Tech programmes in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Embedded Systems, Engineering Design, Geoinformatics & Surveying Technology, and Robotics & Automation. Research programmes for Ph.D. Degrees in all specializations were introduced in the year 2010 in the Faculty of Engineering of Symbiosis International University.

Eligibility criteria to get Direct Admission in SIT 2024

The basic eligibility criteria for Indian students to get admission in Symbiosis Institute of Technology for Engineering are as follows:

• Students must have completed the 10+2 examination with Mathematics and Physics as their primary subjects with any one of the following Biotechnology, Biology, and Chemistry as an optional subject.
• Students under the general category must have obtained at least 45% marks in the above-mentioned subjects taken together.
• Students who belong to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes must have acquired minimum marks of 40%.
• Students can get admission at SIT by qualifying any of these SET/SITEEE/JEE Main entrance exams.
