Vellore Institute of Technology also known as VIT Vellore Institute of Technology is the best University in Chennai. It was established by Mr. G. Viswanathan in the year 1984. At present, it is the most demanding Engineering College in India. VIT Vellore Institute was approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the year 2001. Since then VIT comes under the rank of the Best Universities in India. In its initial stage, VIT University Vellore provided only technical education programs to the students, but after getting University status, various undergraduate and post-graduate programs were also started.
Vellore Institute of Technology has its main campus in Tamil Nadu along with this it also has three other campuses in India:
Vellore Institute of Technology offers 66 UG, 58 PG, 15 Integrated Programmes, 2 Research programmes and 2 M.Tech Industrial Programmes.
