The University was earlier known as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU). Pandit Deendayal Energy University is recognized by UGC (University Grants Commission) and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). Eligibility criteria to get direct admission in Pandit Deendayal Energy University 2024

The following are the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission at Pandit Deendayal Energy University for Engineering:

• Candidates belonging to the general category must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 45% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• In the case of students belonging to SC/ST minimum marks obtained must be 40%.
• Candidates must have passed GUJCET/JEE (Main) as per the requirement of the University.
• For pursuing Biotechnology at PDEU students from Gujarat can also apply with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) on the basis of the GUJCET or JEE-Main exam.
